What a nice lake Lees Lake is. Lees Lake is right by the Warm Springs Necktie Trail, and Box Canyon is a nice site to spend some time. Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area is a good local destination here at Lees Lake, and the Devil Canyon Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. You'll meet a lot of folks from Oxnard-Thousand Oaks-Ventura here, and why not camp at Walnut RV Park since you're here at Lees Lake. Around Lees

| | Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily January, that's the one that rains the most while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Through the summertime months highs here at Lees Lake get into the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 60's. golf at Simi Hills Golf Course not far from Lees Lake, and do stop at Girard Reservoir, it's a gorgeous lake. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Canton Canyon Trail, and a great spot to camp here at Lees Lake is Ten Oaks
Retirement Village. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Canoga Park is a perfect place to spend a night or two. Just can't get enough of Lees Lake. Soar down the rapids of Piru Creek in a kayak; a pretty lake like Chatsworth
Reservoir is a wonderful location to have a look at. This lake is so wonderful. Chatsworth Creek flows through this area; if you need a place to stay Radisson Hotel Chatsworth is a glorious choice.

 | 16 miles away I stopped by here because I noticed there was rock worth exploring for climbing, but when I approached the gate, it said the area was closed to the public. This seemed like a great place to visit, get some climbing in and then take a dip in the lake. If anyone has any further information about the closing, please post it.... |

Notice that a large rock appears to be loose and or without support. It looks like the rock is supporting the trail above. Someone should take a closer look at that rock. In heavy rain it could come down. It looks unstable.... |
