If you are traveling by, why not stop by Lauro Reservoir. The Santa Ynez Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Lauro Reservoir; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 60's with temperatures at Lauro Reservoir dipping down into the 30's all through winter nights. It is very dried up here at Lauro Reservoir usually; the month with most of the rain is February;

So many fun things to do here in the Santa Ynez Mountains, too great to be true. You're sure to come across some nice people from Santa Barbara-Santa Maria-Goleta here, and there's glorious hiking along the Arroyo Burro Trail. next door to Lauro Reservoir is always wonderful; Best Western Pepper Tree Inn is a glorious site to get some rest.
And if that's not enough, there's a heap more to do in close proximity to Lauro Reservoir. There's so much to
do here at Lauro Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, El Capitan State Beach is a good place for that, and a lake close by is Dennis Reservoir. All our national parks are good sites to stop by, and Channel Islands National
Park is no exception, and getting to Cieneguitas Creek from Lauro Reservoir is painless. This lake is so wonderful. Near Lauro Reservoir you hit upon a golf course called Hidden Oaks Golf Course, and why not take a refreshing hike
along the Tunnel Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Lauro Reservoir; Jesusita Trail is a glorious local trail, and if you came to camp White Oaks Campground is a pleasant place to do that.
Lauro Dam is not far at all from Lauro Reservoir; if you need a location to stay Ramada Limited Santa Barbara is a magnificent choice.
