County Park Dept is a splendid campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Tunnel Trail; you don’t have to go far from Lauro Canyon Reservoir to see the water at Lauro Dam. It's a brilliant idea to visit
San Roque Creek, it's near Lauro Canyon Reservoir, and a nice nearby hotel is Quality Inn Santa Barbara. Going for a hike on the Jesusita Trail is always a nice adventure, and a delightful beach nearby is West Beach. There are
great places to discover along the Arroyo Burro Trail, and after a long day outdoors Lemon Tree Inn is a wonderful place to spend a night or two. Lauro Canyon Reservoir is a location that is rather dehydrated mostly; February is when

Even on high-resolution aerial photography, you can find no evidence that there was ever a trail here, except in the lowest portion, which is on private land, completely and irretrievably closed to entry. The chaparral in this vicinity is old, hard, and impenetrable to anything larger than a rabbit. Notice that a large rock appears to be loose and or without support. It looks like the rock is supporting the trail above. Someone should take a closer look at that rock. In heavy rain it could come down. It looks unstable.... |
