Be careful coming to the Central Sierra Nevada, you might not ever want to go back home again. The Central Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart pumping on the glorious whitewater of San Joaquin       River - South Fork, and if you need a place to stay Rodeway Inn Sierra Nevada is a wonderful choice. Laurel Lake is right by the Mammoth Rock Trail, and needless to say Laurel Creek is a delightful stream that is worth stopping at. Not much precipitation falls here at Laurel Lake; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain; June meanwhile is the driest month. Looking for something near Laurel Lake? Any time is a nice time at Laurel Lake if you have a thing about the outdoors. The Sherwin Lakes Trail offers hiking at its best, and there's whitewater on Mono Creek for all you adrenaline people. There's so much to do here at Laurel Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Upper McGee Creek Campground is a good spot for that; after a long day outdoors Mammoth Creek Inn is a magnificent spot to spend a night or two.
