All the outdoors enjoyable stuff in the Central Sierra Nevada will keep you coming back again and again. Good hiking is available along the Mammoth Rock Trail; you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Mammoth Mountain
since you're here. Laura Lake is a good place of normal rainfall; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain, and June is when it's the driest. Don't leave Laura Lake without first going for a hike along the
John Muir Trail - section 2; Clarice Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Central Sierra Nevada. Take a side spree to Shadow Creek; if you need a place to stay Heidelberg
Inn is a delightful choice. A delightful close by hotel is Mammoth Mountain Inn, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend San Joaquin River - Middle Fork.
