Very great water scenery is available at Lauer Dam in close proximity to Lauer Reservoir; at Lauer Reservoir you can catch a glimpse of Round Mountain. Super 8 Alturas is a delightful site to get some rest, and do stop by Wood Flat Reservoir, it's a wonderful lake.
