These mountains rock, just look at all the fun things to do in the Santa Lucia Range. Go for a hike on the Hot Springs Trail, and a tremendous close by hotel is Ventana Inn Big Sur. This lake is so wonderful. A glorious place to camp here at The Lakes is Rocky Creek Campground. And that's not all you can do here at The Lakes. A lake close by is The Dry Lake, and going for a hike on the Marble Peak Trail is always a good adventure.
Getting to Rocky Creek

from The Lakes is easy, and there's whitewater on Arroyo Seco River for all you adrenaline kick people. Summertime at The Lakes comes with high temperatures in the 70's while night lows are generally in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's with winter lows in the 40's overnight here at The Lakes. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Miller's Lodge if you're here at The Lakes; nearby you find the Horse Pasture Trail which is a brilliant hiking
               trail.
You clearly should fancy the Santa Lucia Range. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Arroyo Seco River, and Valley Harvest Inn is a tremendous site to get some rest. An average amount of rainfall falls at The Lakes; through the month of January you get the most rain around here while July is ordinarily the driest month. The Lakes is not the only place close by, Milpitas Reservoir is a close by lake, and you'll meet a lot of people from Salinas here.
This lake is located in the wonderful Santa Lucia Range.
