Beautiful The Lakes has much to offer visitors. If the weather is good here at The Lakes, you can go for a hike along the Marble Peak Trail, and The Lakes is a wonderful location to camp, Miller's Lodge is a wonderful location. The Lakes is one of the lakes here in the Santa Lucia Range. A normal amount of rainfall falls here at The Lakes; January is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is July. But wait, there's more entertaining

Going for a hike along the Horse Pasture Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and in the event that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Arroyo Seco River. always meet someone from Salinas. The warmest time of the year at The Lakes comes with high temperatures in the 70's while nighttime lows are usually in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's; overnight lows at The Lakes
through the winter typically descend into the 40's. Rocky Creek Campground is a good campground here, and the Hot Springs Trail is a tremendous hiking trail nearby.
