If you come at the right time of year, American River - North Fork offers       some wonderful whitewater; lakes are such serene places, why not take a look at Lake Combie. If you need a place to stay Best Western Golden Key is a fine choice, and there are plenty of people from Sacramento—Arden-Arcade—Roseville here at Lake of the Pines. So many fun things to do here at Lake of the Pines, too glorious to be true. Why not camp at Ponderosa Rv Resort since you're here at Lake of the Pines, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Lake of                  the Pines; South Yuba Trail is a nice local trail. This lake is so wonderful. At Lake of the Pines you can see Cottage Hill, and Perkins Spring is an inspiring place to visit while here. This lake is so wonderful. Near Lake of the Pines you stumble on Long Ravine which is a brilliant spot to stop by; a stunning lake like Halsey Forebay is a brilliant location to stop by. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Darkhorse Golf Club is a brilliant golf course nearby, and the Humbug Trail offers hiking at its best. If you came for an overnight stay Gold Rush Ranch is a good spot to camp, and let's not forget Salt Creek which is a stream that you may come across while here. Drift down the rapids of Bear River in a kayak, and Van Giesen Dam is gorgeous. Just can't get enough of the Northern Sierra Nevada. Lake of the Pines is a wet site that gets lots of rainfall; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain while July is generally the driest month. Summertime highs at Lake of the Pines regularly tend to be in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's.
