After a long day outdoors Calistoga Ranch is a pleasant place to spend a night or two, and not far from Lake Whitehead you'll discover Red Lake which is a scenic lake. Hiking along the Bald Mountain Trail is glorious fun; camping at Bothe Napa Valley State Park is always a glorious experience. A normal       amount of rain falls here at Lake Whitehead; January is the month that gets the most rain, and July on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. One of the major marks of the surroundings of Lake Whitehead is Inspiration Point, and golf can be played at Aetna Springs Golf Course. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at close by Lake Orville, and camping is available at Ritchey Creek Campground. This lake is so wonderful.                  Don't leave Lake Whitehead without first checking out Sunset Point, and don’t forget to have a look at Walnut Flat since you're here at Lake Whitehead. High temperatures at Lake Whitehead all through the warmest time of the year are in the 90's. Summer night lows dip down to the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 50's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Lake Whitehead dip into the 20's.
