This location, the Northern Sierra Nevada, has so much outdoors exciting stuff. There is a wonderful hiking trail in the neighborhood of Lake Walton called the Bake Oven Trail, and nearby you hit upon the Green Valley Trail which is a great hiking trail. Lake Walton is one of the lakes here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Lake Walton is a relatively wet place ordinarily with a great deal of rainfall; the month of January       is the wettest with most of the rain, and July is when it's the driest. And if you're still looking for more outdoors exciting things just keep reading. You can run the rapids of American River - Middle Fork close to Lake Walton; you can stay the night at Camp Chiquita Campground. A wonderful location for whitewater paddling next to Lake Walton is American River - South Fork; on a glorious day you can take a hike along the Nevada Point Trail. This lake is                  so wonderful. Summertime highs at Lake Walton commonly tend to be in the 90's. Summer night lows dip down to the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 50's; during the dark hours in the winter at Lake Walton temperatures drop to the 30's. If you need a place to stay Hilltop Motel is a perfect choice, and Grey Eagle Hill is clearly visible from Lake Walton. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Georgetown Hilltop Motel, and Lake Walton Campground is a pleasant campground here. If you fancy the outdoors you'll fancy it here in the Northern Sierra Nevada.
