Get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of American River - Middle Fork, and you're sure to stumble upon some friendly folks from Truckee-Grass Valley here. Lake Walton sees pretty high levels of rain;       the month with most of the rain is January while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Lake Walton is in the vicinity of Dark Canyon which is undeniably worth checking out. There's so much to do here at Lake Walton that you need to camp here for a while, Lake Walton Campground is a magnificent place for that. This lake is so wonderful. For the duration of the long summer days highs here at Lake Walton get into the 90's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 60's.
