You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things at Lake Van Norden. So much fun stuff to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada, too great to be true. Going for a hike on the Lola Montez Trail is always a pleasant adventure; Andesite Peak can be made out from Lake Van Norden. All through the months       of summer at Lake Van Norden highs are usually in the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Lake Van Norden. Go for a hike on the Heath Falls Overlook Trail, and do pop by Ice Lakes, it's a pretty lake. This lake is so wonderful. There are splendid spots to explore along the Warren Lake Trail, and Holiday Inn Express TRUCKEE is a wonderful                  spot to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at The Inn at Truckee; swing by Lower Castle Creek it's a delightful site to pop by. Lake Van Norden is a pretty wet place typically with a great deal of rainfall; through the month of January you get the most rain around here; July is the month with the least moisture. The snow is tremendous at Boreal, and since you're here, you could also take a look at beautiful Serena Lake. Lake Van Norden is located in the Northern Sierra Nevada. If you want a good time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Lake Van Norden. Head up to Soda Springs and strap some skis to your feet, and if you come at the right time of year, Fordyce Creek offers some great whitewater. Man, is there plenty of exciting stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada.
