South Fork Tule River is in the neighborhood of Lake Success and is always a joy to stop by; at Lake Success you always meet someone from Visalia-Porterville. Summer at Lake Success arrives with high temperatures in the 90's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's typically in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's while the cold winter nights at Lake Success are in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are magnificent; Lake Heron is

This lake is so wonderful. Mine Hill is picturesque and can be seen from Lake Success; since you're here you can take a hike along the Black Mountain Trail. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by Carl Lake, and Lakeside Trailer and Mobile Home is a great local campground. This is no spot for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. | |

Best Western Porterville Inn is a great site to get some rest, and Success Dam is a pretty site, certainly worth going to.
Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites PORTERVILLE, and close to Lake Success you
locate a golf course called Porterville Municipal Golf Course. Lake Success gets very little rainfall; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month.

The swimming hole is the main attraction! Ive been twice now and love it! getting a spot next to this piece of heaven is a little tough I hear. waterfalls and natural made waterslides and cliff jumping all in one spot make camp wishon the spot to be....my family has been going to camp wishon since the 1920's we stopped going about 10 years ago. we love the swimmin hole and used to like walking up to the soda spring thru doyles. (now they make you walk arround and wont let you go to the big pool by the soda spring)anyways we had 4 generations of fun here... |
