Lake Stockton is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Best Western Hill House is a wonderful choice. So many exciting things to do at Lake Stockton, so little time. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Burnt Spring; Davis Campground is a great campground here. Lake Stockton is a location that is relatively dried out regularly; during the month of January you get the most rain around

| | here, and July meanwhile is the driest month.
This lake is located in the wonderful Southern Sierra Nevada. Nearby lakes? Sure, Lake Engle is right next door to Lake Stockton, and get your heart beating on the good whitewater of Kern River. This is a popular site for people from Bakersfield; there's pleasant hiking along the Old Sled Trail.

everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Kern River, and the top of Basket Peak is easily made out from Lake Stockton. This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at Shirley Meadow around here, and great hiking is available along
the Virginia Trail. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors entertaining stuff the Southern Sierra Nevada has to offer. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Lake Stockton; Bull Run Cattle Drive is a nice local trail; you
can stay the night at Evans Flat Campground.
Through the warm months at Lake Stockton temperatures are frequently in the 90's, and the night is somewhat colder of course, generally in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Lake Stockton are in the 20's.
