Great access to sterling fordce and montez lakes, and you can get away from it all after getting off the OHV road and get closer to the lakes! Says Jake The road up to Lake Sterling is 4x4 only with sheer cliffs in some spots with shale rock that wants to slide out from under your tires. I saw a well     equipped 4x4 truck attempt the road and have half of the rock road crumble away underneath the truck like a mini avalanche. It took until the following week to get the truck out of the canyon, but only took 2 hours for the medivac chopper to get there. Don't bring a trailer, definitely do bring spare tires and plenty of water if you do get stuck. No Verizon cell service out there either.
