All the outdoors fun stuff in the Northern Sierra Nevada will keep you coming back repeatedly. There is a good hiking trail close to Lake Putt called the Eagle Bird Trail, and what would a spot like Lake Putt be without attention-grabbing nearby traits like Sailor Point. Lake Putt gets a lot of water; the wettest month of the year is commonly January, that's the one that rains the most; July on the other hand is the driest.       Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Northern Sierra Nevada. North Fork Campground is a tremendous campground nearby, and close by you hit upon great locations like Bear Valley. Summer at Lake Putt comes with high temperatures in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Lake Putt plunge into the 20's. So many cool things next to Lake Putt, clearly                  impressive. Going for a hike on the Italian Bar Trail is always a great adventure. Lakes are great; Lake Spaulding is a lake that's next to Lake Putt. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend American River - North Fork, and Deer Creek Inn is a good location to get some rest. Here at Lake Putt you'll perhaps meet some people from Truckee-Grass Valley; you can never get enough of the fine skiing at Soda Springs. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Bear Valley Campground is a wonderful location to camp, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Royal Gorge while you're here. Having a fine time at Lake Putt is easy. Near Lake Putt you find the Burnett Canyon Trail which is a good hiking trail; everybody loves Putnam Valley. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Yuba River - South Fork for all you adrenaline people, and you're perhaps keen on lakes, Lake Putt is one of those close by.
