There's a fine 9.1-mile-long type II whitewater part on San Lorenzo River nearby, the Boulder Creek to Felton section. This part of San Lorenzo River is a part of water suited for novices in whitewater rafting or kayaking. Nearby there is a great 6-mile-from-beginning-to-end grade III-IV whitewater sweep, the Felton to Ocean at Santa Cruz section of San Lorenzo     River.
