Many people like to go to Lake McCloud. The vista of Skunk Hill from Lake McCloud is charming, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Cone Point Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Dunsmuir Inn & Suites is a glorious site to get some rest; there are some fine whitewater spots on McCloud River.
The Southern Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful. All the water falling down from the sky makes Lake McCloud a wet spot; the wettest month of the year is

| | mostly January, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month is July. Whohoo, so many entertaining things in one place! The Southern Cascade Range rules! If you came for an overnight stay Fowlers Campground is a great site to camp, and do take a hike on the Nelson Flat Trail.
So much fun stuff to do here at Lake McCloud, too great to be true. Why not camp at Ah-Di-Na Campground since you're here at Lake McCloud, and Doodlebug Gulch is also a great | |

place to look at. A perfect nearby hotel is Dunsmuir Travelodge, and hiking along the Angel Meadow Trail is delightful fun. Now, you may imagine that's a load but there's even more amusing things to do here in the Southern Cascade
Range. Battle Creek is a pleasant place to pop by, and at Lake McCloud you always meet someone from Redding.
This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, McCloud River offers some great whitewater, and fine
skiing awaits you at Mount Shasta. For the period of the days of summer highs here at Lake McCloud get into the 80's. Summer night lows fall down to the 40's. For the period of the winter the highs are usually in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Lake McCloud.
