This lake is one of the great places here in the Southern Cascade Range. This lake is so wonderful. Lassen Volcanic National Park is a nice national park, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Pit River. If you came for an overnight stay Manzanita Lake Campground is a great location to camp; hiking along the Rough and Ready Trail is pleasant fun. Lake Margaret is a wet place that gets lots of rain; January is the wettest       month with most rain, and the driest month is July. And that's not all you can do here at Lake Margaret. Summertime highs at Lake Margaret regularly tend to be in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. Through the winter highs are in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Lake Margaret. If you have a thing about the outdoors you'll have a thing about it here in the Southern Cascade Range. Why not camp at Deep Creek Campground                  if you're here at Lake Margaret, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 17.
