Lake Kaweah

Lake Kaweah was built for flood control. So its depth varies from summer to winter. Spring and summer are the best times for fishing and skiing. Says Clint Burns

Lake Kaweah has a marina. Lake Kaweah is a lovely 289 square mile lake.
Popular activities on Lake Kaweah include boating, waterskiing and fishing.

A nearby class II-IV whitewater run can be encountered on Kaweah River; the North Fork Bridge to Lake Kaweah portion is 4 miles
long. This run of Kaweah River is not a site for beginners to come kayak paddling solo. In case you're seeking a type III-V whitewater bit to run, you're in luck; the Dinley Bridge to North Fork Bridge portion is a good 3-mile-long piece of Kaweah River.
