This lake is so wonderful. During your tour to Lake Jennings you'll meet some people from San Diego-Carlsbad-San Marcos for sure. Best Western Courtesy Inn is a glorious location to get some rest, and if you're a golfer then a great nearby course is Willowbrook Golf Course. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Santa Rosa Mountains. There's good hiking along the Horsethief Ridge Trail; if you've had enough       of Lake Jennings, San Vicente Reservoir is nearby. So much exciting stuff in the Santa Rosa Mountains, just tremendous. Lake Jennings is not the only place close by, Lindo Lake is a close by lake, also Chet Harritt Dam is worth going to while you're here. During the warmest time of the year here at Lake Jennings, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 60's. Throughout the wintertime the highs                  are mostly in the 60's with temperatures at Lake Jennings dipping down into the 40's during winter nights. Cabrillo National Monument is a good local destination here at Lake Jennings, and Lake Jennings is right next door to Quail Canyon which is certainly worth checking out. This lake is one of the great places here in the Santa Rosa Mountains. Now, you may assume that's a lot but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Lake Jennings. A delightful nearby hotel is Barona Valley Ranch Resort and Casino. There's so much to do here at Lake Jennings that you need to camp here for a while, Santee Lakes Regional Park and Campground is a delightful site for that. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Lake Jennings has to offer, you can camp at Rancho Los Coches RV Park; you can run the rapids of Los Penasquitos Creek.
