This lake is so wonderful. At Lake Jennings you don’t see much rainfall; March is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is July. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Santa Rosa Mountains. All our national parks are glorious places to explore, and Cabrillo National Monument is no exception. There's so much to do here at Lake Jennings that you need to camp       here for a while, Lake Jennings County Park is a fine site for that. This lake is so wonderful. Chet Harritt Dam is an out of the ordinary thing to check out, and Lake Jennings is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Rancho Los Coches RV Park is a wonderful local campground. You could also go to Lindo Lake if you're here at Lake Jennings; it's close by, and after a long day outdoors Singing Hills Cc At Sycuan is a splendid place to spend a night                  or two. A splendid place for whitewater paddling right next door to Lake Jennings is Los Penasquitos Creek, and Quail Canyon is a magnificent spot to spend some time. If you have a thing about the outdoors you'll have a thing about it here in the Santa Rosa Mountains. Lake Jennings is not far at all from San Diego-Carlsbad-San Marcos, and playing golf is lots of fun at Willowbrook Golf Course. The Santa Rosa Mountains scenery is always beautiful. For the period of the long summer days at Lake Jennings highs are frequently in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 60's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 60's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Lake Jennings plunge into the 40's. Having a splendid time at Lake Jennings is painless.
