If you are traveling by, why not stop by Lake Henshaw. Summertime highs at Lake Henshaw generally tend to be in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. All through the winter highs are generally in the 50's, and overnight lows at Lake Henshaw throughout the winter commonly dip into the 30's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. go home again. Near Lake Henshaw you stumble on the Aguanga Trail which is a great hiking trail, and camping is available at Lake Henshaw Campgrounds.
That right there is a lot of fun stuff already but it goes on, the Santa Rosa
Mountains has it all. A normal amount of rain falls here at Lake Henshaw; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain while June is frequently the driest month. Going for a hike on the Gomez Trail is always a nice adventure; after a long day outdoors San Vicente Resort is a great site to spend a night or two.
