So much enjoyable stuff to do at Lake Henshaw, so little time. West Fork San Luis Rey River is a stream that you may stumble upon while you're here, and Love Valley is a good site. Lake Henshaw gets a typical amount of annual rain; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and June meanwhile is the driest month. For the period of the warmest time of the year       at Lake Henshaw highs are generally in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 50's, and night lows during the wintertime for Lake Henshaw tend to be in the 30's. All year is a tremendous time in the Santa Rosa Mountains if you like the outdoors. A delightful place to camp here at Lake Henshaw is La Jolla Band Of Indians, and close by you find the Aguanga Trail which is a good hiking trail. There are splendid places to                  explore along the Mission Trail, and a lake nearby is Big Lake. This lake is located in the wonderful Santa Rosa Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Riviera Oaks Resort and Racquet Club is a good place to spend a night or two; Lost Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by. This lake is so wonderful. Lake Henshaw is good enough to spend more than a day at, Lake Henshaw Campgrounds is a good local campground, and going for a hike on the Gomez Trail is always a tremendous adventure. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Santa Rosa Mountains.
