It's a perfect       idea to visit Herkey Creek, it's in the vicinity of Lake Hemet, and after a long day outdoors Idyllwild Inn is a splendid place to spend a night or two. Lake Hemet is a location that is rather dried out generally; March is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is June. This lake is one of the great places here in the Santa Rosa Mountains. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Lake Hemet has to offer, you can camp at                  Apple Canyon Campground; there's splendid hiking along the South Fork Trail. That right there is lots of cool stuff already but it goes on, the Santa Rosa Mountains has it all. During your journey to Lake Hemet you'll meet some people from Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario for sure; Jozee Spring is always fun to check out. For the period of the warmest time of the year highs here at Lake Hemet reach the 90's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 60's; all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Lake Hemet temperatures sink to the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. A wonderful site to take a look at in close proximity to Lake Hemet is Hemet Valley. This lake is so wonderful.
