Gold Strike Village Mobile Home is a great campground here. Lake Flint is pretty waterless mostly; January is the wettest month with most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Cosumnes River - Middle Fork; why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Castle Oaks Golf Club.       This lake is so wonderful. There are some great whitewater spots on Cosumnes River, and dry warm beds await you at Ione Hotel. After a long day outdoors Golden Star Restaurant & Saloon is a brilliant site to spend a night or two, and if you came for an overnight stay Far Horizons 49er Trailer Village is a great site to camp. At Lake Flint during the warmest time of the year highs are in the 90's while overnight lows are commonly in the 60's.
