    Do stop by Lake Eleanor while you're in this part of California. And if that's not enough there's plenty more exciting stuff to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. Shingle Spring is always fun to check out, and if you need a site to stay Best Value Yosemite Westgate Lodge is a nice choice. But wait, there's more to do near Lake Eleanor. Skiing at Dodge Ridge is one of those things you just ought to do; if you're here you can take a hike along the El Capitan Trail.  
   This lake is so wonderful. Lake Eleanor is not far at all from Phoenix Lake-Cedar Ridge, and hiking along the Pilot Ridge Trail is nice fun.
You can never get enough of the good skiing at Badger Pass, and a good place like Wilson Meadow here at Lake Eleanor is too splendid to miss. At Lake Eleanor all through the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's. During the winter highs are mostly in the 40's
 
               while the cold winter nights at Lake Eleanor are in the 20's. Take a little tour to Kibbie Creek if you're here at Lake Eleanor, and camping is available at Cherry Valley Campground.
The Central Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. Have a great hiking adventure along the Hite Cove Trail, and get your heart beating on the tremendous whitewater of Tuolumne River - South Fork. The high level of precipitation makes Lake Eleanor a relatively wet site; through January this area sees the most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture.
Just can't get enough of the Central Sierra Nevada. Why not camp at Hetch Hetchy Backpackers Campground since you're here at Lake Eleanor, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Cherry Creek - West Fork.
