    Many people like to go to Lake Eleanor. Lake Eleanor is located in the Central Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore close by Cherry Lake; the snow is great at Dodge Ridge. Lake Eleanor ordinarily gets lots of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is January; the driest month is July.
Lake Eleanor is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Hetch Hetchy Backpackers Campground
 
   is a fine local campground; whitewater paddling is good on Tuolumne River - South Fork. And that's not all you can do here at Lake Eleanor. Take a hike on the Hite Cove Trail, and the good people of Phoenix Lake-Cedar Ridge like to hang out close by.
This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Cherry Valley Campground is a perfect place to do that, and there's some flowing water nearby, Kibbie Creek is a stream you can stop at during your stay. Now, you
 
               may think that's a heap but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here in the Central Sierra Nevada. Hiking along the El Capitan Trail is great fun, and a day on the slopes of Badger Pass is just what you need. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Lake Eleanor, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Lake Eleanor are in the 20's.
Cherry Creek - West Fork has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby, and spots like Wilson Meadow are good to have a look at. And if that's not enough there's a heap more fun stuff to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Pilot Ridge Trail; Shingle Spring is always fun to check out.
