Lake Cachuma is a lake worth visiting. This lake is so wonderful. Bee Rock is gorgeous and can be spotted from Lake Cachuma; dry warm beds await you at Santa Ynez Inn. There's so much to do here at Lake Cachuma that you need to camp here for a while, El Capitan Ranch Park Campground is a good site for that, and if you need a site to stay El Capitan Canyon is a good choice. people from Santa Barbara-Santa Maria-Goleta, and you can have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Ranger Peak Trail. Summertime highs at Lake Cachuma usually tend to be in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's.
The winter brings highs down to the 60's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Lake Cachuma temperatures drop to the 30's.
Clark Canyon is a glorious site to spend some time at, and since you're here you have to
stop by Tequepis Point. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can have a look at Bradbury Dam, and do take a hike on the Gato Trail.
It is very dehydrated here at Lake Cachuma usually; February is the month that gets the most rain, and July is when it's the driest.
