You are next to Blue Jay Bay since you're here at Lake Arrowhead, and Lake Arrowhead is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Dogwood Campground is a brilliant local campground. Lake Arrowhead gets very little rainfall; the wettest month of the year is frequently February, that's the one that rains the most, and June is when it's the driest. | | to Burnt Mill Creek while you're here at Lake Arrowhead, and the slopes of Snow Valley are so inviting nobody can resist. A pleasant journey to Ash Meadows is a great way to spend an afternoon, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 6. If you need a place to stay Lakeview Lodge is a good choice, and hiking along the Fredalba Trail is tremendous fun. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Lake Arrowhead Chalets, and close by you hit upon Blue Jay Canyon
which is a great place to stop at. And if that's not sufficient there's a load more exciting stuff to do in the San Bernardino Mountains. Nearby lakes? Sure, Grass Valley Lake is right next door to Lake Arrowhead, and what would winter
be without some skiing at Snow Summit. So much exciting stuff close to Lake Arrowhead, simply phenomenal. Looking for something close to Lake Arrowhead? Papoose Lake is close at hand, and a magnificent location to camp here at Lake Arrowhead is Toll Road Campground. Lake Arrowhead is right by the Miller Canyon Trail.

 | Roundtrip Distance 16 miles Elevation Gain 2,645 ft. This peak is trailless, meaning a portion or all of the route up the mountain is via an unmarked trail. For this particular mountain, the typical route is known as a ''herd path'' which is not much more than a worn, but unmarked trail. Some of the herd paths are easy to follow, others are not. In many instances the hiker will travel down a false herd path and eventually have to correct his/her course via backtracking.
