All the water falling down from the sky makes Lake Alpine a wet spot; all through January this area sees the most snow while July is generally the driest month. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Mokelumne River - North Fork; a day on the slopes of Kirkwood is just what you need. So many entertaining things to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada, too nice to be true. Duck Lake is a pleasant lake close to Lake
Alpine, and the snow is great at Bear Valley.
All year is a fine time in the Northern Sierra Nevada if you have a thing about the outdoors. Slick Rock is a good location to stop at while in the neighborhood; camping is available at Pine Marten Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Inspiration Point is a peak you can see from Lake Alpine, and a good location to camp here at Lake Alpine is Lake Alpine Campground. Man, is there lots of exciting stuff to do

right next door to Lake Alpine. Duck Creek flows through this neighborhood; after a long day outdoors The Mountain Club is a fine place to spend a night or two.
Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Lake Alpine is a beautiful lake in the Northern Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful. There are splendid locations to explore along the Charity Valley Trail, and there are other places here than Lake Alpine, for example Utica Reservoir.
If only every spot had this much outdoors enjoyable things, what a great planet it would be. A magnificent location like Rose Meadow here at Lake Alpine is too tremendous to miss, and you can go for a hike on the Burnside Lake Trail. Going for a hike on the Emigrant Trail is always a great adventure, and Bee Gulch is around here, and is a wonderful site. Dry warm beds await you at The Meadow, and there's whitewater on Stanislaus River - Middle Fork for all you adrenaline junkies.
The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 60's to Lake Alpine. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 40's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's; during the dark hours in the winter at Lake Alpine temperatures descend to the 10's.
