During the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 40's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 40's with temperatures at Lake Aloha dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this location. Pistantes Coyote Den is a splendid place to get some rest; there are some wonderful whitewater spots on Silver       Creek - South Fork. These mountains rock, just check out all the enjoyable things to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Desolation Valley is right here at Lake Aloha, and not far from Lake Aloha you'll find American Lake which is a beautiful lake. This lake is so wonderful. On a brilliant day at Lake Aloha you can take a hike along the Hawley Grade Trail. Lakes? Sure, Waca Lake is nearby. A nice spot to go to near Lake Aloha is Mosquito Pass, and you'll                  meet a lot of people from Gardnerville Ranchos here. Lake Aloha is one of the lakes here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Man, is there loads of fun things to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Sierra at Tahoe is a very popular ski area in close proximity, and there is a good hiking trail nearby called the Windmiller Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, American River - South Fork offers some brilliant whitewater, and beaches are glorious and Baldwin Beach is no exception. There's so much to do here at Lake Aloha that you need to camp here for a while, Lovers Leap Campground is a brilliant spot for that, and nearby you come across the General Creek Trail which is a splendid hiking trail. Lake Aloha is a good site of typical rain; during the month of January you get the most snow around here, and July is the month with the least moisture. Head up to Kirkwood and strap some skis to your feet, and Cracked Crag is clearly visible from Lake Aloha. This lake is so wonderful. Now, you may imagine that's plenty but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at Lake Aloha. Lake Aloha is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Sayles Flat Campground is a wonderful local campground, and do put some time aside to spend at Horsetail Falls while you're here at Lake Aloha. You simply have to like the Northern Sierra Nevada.
