     Lake Almanor is a nice lake to visit. The warmest time of the year at Lake Almanor arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 40's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are usually in the 40's while Lake Almanor night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. Near Lake Almanor you come across the Lassen Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail, and a quick tour to Bailey Creek is undeniably a magnificent  
   idea. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Northern Sierra Nevada. Why not camp at Almanor Campground if you're here at Lake Almanor, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Rose Quartz is a great spot to spend a night or two.
This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Lake Almanor you hit upon Almanor Peninsula, and Psea Camp Almanor is a good local campground. All the outdoors cool things in the Northern Sierra Nevada will keep you coming back over and over.
 
               A trip to Lassen Volcanic National Park is recommended, and a beautiful lake like Mud Lake is a brilliant spot to stop at. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Sierra Nevada.
Yep, outdoors fun stuff to do are really abundant here at Lake Almanor. If you need a site to stay Bailey Creek Cottages is a pleasant choice, and a day at Catfish Beach is time well spent. Lake Almanor gets a typical amount of precipitation; the month with most of the snow is January, and July is the month with the least moisture.
Lakes are such peaceful places, why not stop at Rock Lake near Lake Almanor, and there is a great hiking trail close by called the Yellow Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. On a great day at Lake Almanor you can take a hike along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 16, and get wet paddling on Feather River - North Fork.

Cool Springs Campground is owned by PG&E and managed by American Land and Leisure (AL&L). You may contact AL&L, at 530-284-1785, from May to October. No reservations are taken for camping. Cool Springs is generally open from early May through mid-September. The heaviest use is between mid-June through mid-August. Butt Lake is a great fishing lake. Motorboats are allowed but no skiing or jet skis. There is a nice rock\sand beach for playing....
