     Lagoon Pond is always a pleasure to visit. Man, is there loads of amusing stuff to do in the Coast Ranges. Get dripping wet paddling on Smith River - South Fork, and Chinook RV Resort is a glorious campground nearby. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff at Lagoon Pond. Rattlesnake Lake is a magnificent lake in close proximity to Lagoon Pond, and False Klamath Cove is rather close. So much entertaining stuff to do here in the Coast  
   Ranges, too wonderful to be true. If you came for an overnight stay Mystic Forest RV Park is a delightful spot to camp, and float down the rapids of Goose Creek in a kayak.
The peak of Footsteps Rocks can be seen from Lagoon Pond, and don't leave Lagoon Pond without first going for a hike along the Hope Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Northwoods Inn; why not take a little tour to Wilson Creek if you're here. If
 
               you're looking for a beach near Lagoon Pond, we recommend Wilson Creek Beach, and a wooded area close by is Trees of Mystery.
Lagoon Pond is one of the lakes here in the Coast Ranges. There are other sites here than Lagoon Pond, for example Bummer Lake; hiking is a popular thing to do around Lagoon Pond; James Irvine Trail is a pleasant local trail. All year is a tremendous time in the Coast Ranges if you have a thing about the outdoors.
If you want a pleasant time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Lagoon Pond. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Crescent City is a perfect site to spend a night or two, and lots of people from Crescent City North come here. This lake is so wonderful. There's fine hiking along the Paradise Trail, and if you have the time, Redwood National and State Parks is a national park worth stopping at. Lagoon Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture.
The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 60's to Lagoon Pond while overnight lows are mostly in the 50's. High temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the 50's; during the dark hours in the winter at Lagoon Pond temperatures dip to the 30's.
