Kole Lake is a nice lake to visit. This place, the Central Sierra Nevada, has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Stanislaus River - Middle Fork; you acquire a great vista of Gillett Mountain from here. All through the summer at Kole Lake highs are typically in the 60's; the overnight is a tad colder of course, ordinarily in the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs

| | in the 30's, and night lows at Kole Lake throughout the winter ordinarily sink into the 10's. Dry warm beds await you at Pinecrest Chalet, and Kole Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Deadman Campground is a good local campground.

This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Cherry Creek - West Fork offers some good whitewater; camping at Baker
Campground is always a great experience. If you need a site to stay Evergreen Lodge Yosemite is a great choice, and if you're interested in hydro structures, you can check out Leighton Dam. Kole Lake gets much water; the wettest
month of the year is commonly January, that's the one that snows the most, and the driest month of the year is July.
