Beautiful Kinney Reservoir has much to offer visitors. A pleasant trip to Bloomfield Meadow is a great way to spend an afternoon, and nice skiing awaits you at Bear Valley. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Carson Valley Inn Motor Lodge, and camping at Highland Lakes Campground is always a tremendous experience. | | a pleasant location to spend a night or two; going for a hike on the Burnside Lake Trail is always a magnificent adventure.
This lake is located in the wonderful Northern Sierra Nevada. Having a nice time in the Northern Sierra Nevada is easy. Dorothy Lake is a nearby lake that you could go to, and there are nice sites to explore along the Charity Valley Trail. Near Kinney Reservoir you find the Pacific Crest Trail - section 13 which is a good hiking trail, | |

and if you came to camp Bloomfield Campground is a pleasant location to do that.
This lake is so wonderful. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Kirkwood, and Carson River - East Fork is a pleasant whitewater
spot nearby. But wait, there's more fun stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Ebbetts Peak is charming and can be seen from Kinney Reservoir, and as expected, A visit to Ebbetts Pass is always fun. Through the summer here at
Kinney Reservoir, high temperatures mostly reach the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 40's. During the wintertime highs are commonly in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Kinney Reservoir
temperatures plunge to the 10's.
The high level of precipitation makes Kinney Reservoir a pretty wet spot; most of the snow falls through January while July is mostly the driest month. Take a little journey to Eagle Creek if you're here at Kinney Reservoir.
