    If you like lakes and you're in this part of California you can check out Kinman Pond. The amount of rainfall that falls at Kinman Pond is close to the national average; November is the wettest month with most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. For the duration of the summer months, highs usually are in the 60's at Kinman Pond. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 50's with temperatures  
   at Kinman Pond dipping down into the 40's throughout winter nights. This place is excellent, just explore all the exciting stuff to do close to Kinman Pond. Comfort Inn & Suites is a perfect place to get some rest; the King Crest Trail is a glorious hiking trail nearby.
This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Kinman Pond has to offer, you can camp at Fortuna Koa Kampground; if you need a location to stay Best Western
 
               Country Inn is a perfect choice. Whohoo, so many entertaining things in one place! The Coast Ranges rules! There's so much to do here at Kinman Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Nally's RV Park is a splendid place for that, and a tremendous place for whitewater paddling is Mattole River. You can run the rapids of Eel River close to Kinman Pond, and there is a good hiking trail close by called the Lightning Trail.
Antone Creek is near Kinman Pond and is always a joy to stop by, and there are plenty of folks from Eureka-Arcata-Fortuna here. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors amusing stuff the Coast Ranges has to offer. The Coast Ranges scenery is always beautiful.
