    If you are traveling by, why not stop by Kinman Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Eel River, and camping at Fortuna Koa Kampground is always a great experience. Why not take a look at nearby Antone Creek while you're here at Kinman Pond, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Country Inn is a magnificent place to spend a night or two. And if that's not enough there's loads more fun things  
   to do in the Coast Ranges. Camping is available at Nally's RV Park, and dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn & Suites.
Near Kinman Pond you hit upon the King Crest Trail which is a splendid hiking trail, and you're sure to come across some cheerful folks from Eureka-Arcata-Fortuna here. Now, you may feel that's a lot but there's even more fun stuff to do here in the Coast Ranges. Kinman Pond is located in the Coast Ranges.
High temperatures at Kinman
 
               Pond during the warmest time of the year are in the 60's with night lows in the 50's. All through the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 50's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Kinman Pond temperatures descend to the 40's. A typical amount of rainfall falls here at Kinman Pond; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things next to Kinman Pond. Going for a hike on the Lightning Trail is always a wonderful adventure, and get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Mattole River.
