If you are in this part of California make sure to pay a visit to Kingsley Lake. You assume that's enough? Just getting warmed up. If you come at the right time of year, Beegum Creek offers some great whitewater; while you're here you can take a hike along the French Trail. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Klamath Mountains. Whiskeytown National Recreation Area is one of the destinations in close proximity to Kingsley Lake that are good

| | to go to; the Ides Cove National Recreation Trail is a wonderful hiking trail nearby. Throughout the summer months highs here at Kingsley Lake reach the 90's while night lows are regularly in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's with temperatures at Kingsley Lake dipping down into the 30's through winter nights. This lake is one of the great places here in the Klamath Mountains. Lake, and there are some fine whitewater spots on Black Butte River. Kingsley Lake is a good place of normal rain; most of the rain falls through January, and the driest of the months is July. Just can't get enough of the Klamath
Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Hammerhorn Campground is a good place to do that, and you could always look at Hopkins Hollow. Kingsley Lake is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Little Doe Campground
is a magnificent local campground, and if the weather is perfect, you can go for a hike along the Soldier Trail.
