There's great hiking along the Fish Canyon Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Rodeway Inn Magic Mountain Area. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Kings Canyon Percolation Basin without first going for a hike along the Gillette Mine Trail, and don’t forget to stop by Bleich Flat while you're here at Kings Canyon Percolation Basin. Bleich Canyon is a tremendous site to spend some time at. Lakes are fine; Hidden Lake is a lake that's close to Kings Canyon

at Kings Canyon Percolation Basin temperatures are regularly in the 90's while night lows are regularly in the 60's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 50's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Kings Canyon Percolation Basin.

Munz Lakes
 | We stayed at Munz every weekend. Sometimes for two weeks at a time. I remember that grand old farmhouse, with its huge dance floor, and the basement casino, and washing beer mugs and glasses with Conrad, Eli Munz grandson, and shooting at ferrul cats from Conrad's upstairs bedroom window, and so much more. There was Joe and Thelma, who helped run the resort, their kids Diane, who I had a secret crush on, Steve and little Joe. All those years of memories are like magic dreams. So much that once was, is now lost... Terry....I would love some pictures of it too! Our family camped here in the 50's and 60's. I have such good memories of the place. The pool with the high dive, fishing, catching frogs and hiking around.... |

 | 39 miles away 1 PHOTO Hi, please take a look at the attached photo. I took it today in La Jolla Canyon, at the water fall (dry now). Notice that a large rock appears to be loose and or without support. It looks like the rock is supporting the trail above. Someone should take a closer look at that rock. In heavy rain it could come down. It looks unstable.... |
