Go to Kilborn Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Kilborn Lake. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 50's. Go for a hike on the Heath Falls Overlook
Trail, and Boreal is a very popular ski area in close proximity. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Always Inn Tahoe Bed and Breakfast is a good choice, and if the weather is beautiful, you get a splendid panorama
of Mount Marliave from Kilborn Lake.
All the water falling down from the sky makes Kilborn Lake a wet location; most of the rain falls during January, and the driest month of the year is July. This lake is so wonderful. In case
you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Fordyce Creek, and if you came for an overnight stay Van Norden Campground is a pleasant site to camp.
