Kilborn Lake commonly gets lots of rain; the wettest month of the year is typically January, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is July. Head up to Soda Springs and strap some skis to your feet. So many exciting things in the Northern Sierra Nevada, just striking. After a long day outdoors Plumpjack Squaw Valley Inn is a delightful place to spend a night or two; why       not take a refreshing hike along the Heath Falls Overlook Trail. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Kilborn Lake. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Kilborn Lake are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Get dripping wet paddling on Yuba River - South Fork, and Van Norden Campground is a fine local campground. This lake is so                  wonderful. Kilborn Lake is a glorious place to visit for more than one day, Cold Springs Campground is a glorious place to camp nearby, and a day on the slopes of Boreal is just what you need. Lower Lola Montez Lake is a perfect lake right next door to Kilborn Lake, and Kilborn Lake is right by the Long Valley Trail. This lake is located in the wonderful Northern Sierra Nevada. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things in the Northern Sierra Nevada.
