Camping is available at Old Cow Creek Campground, and Battle Creek - South Fork has a great whitewater paddling spot close by. Summer at Kilarc Reservoir comes with high temperatures in the 90's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 60's.       For the duration of the winter the highs are regularly in the 50's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Kilarc Reservoir temperatures fall to the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? Sure, Silver Lake is in the neighborhood of Kilarc Reservoir, and if you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Bear Creek. The Southern Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful. This is no site for people who don’t like                  to have fun. A great site to camp here at Kilarc Reservoir is South Cow Creek Campground; there are plenty of folks from Redding here.
