There is a glorious hiking trail next to Kidney Lake called the Pacific Crest Trail - section 12; Heidelberg Inn is a brilliant location to get some rest. While you're here at Kidney Lake you can take a hike along the Gaylor Lakes Trail; dry warm beds await you at Yosemite Gateway Motel. That right there is loads of amusing stuff already but it goes on, the Central Sierra       Nevada has it all. Do stop at Gibbs Lake close to Kidney Lake, it's a delightful lake. For the duration of the long summer days, highs commonly are in the 80's at Kidney Lake. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 30's. Highs through the winter are generally in the 40's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Kidney Lake. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Kidney Lake has to offer, you can camp at Tioga Junction Campground,                  and while you're here, you could also check out stunning Dana Lake. Not much rainfall falls here at Kidney Lake; January is when you get the most snow here while October is regularly the driest month. And that's not all you can do here at Kidney Lake. Stay the night at Ellery Lake Campground, and at Kidney Lake you can see Mount Dana. Kidney Lake is one of the lakes here in the Central Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful.
