This lake is so wonderful. The Heath Falls Overlook Trail offers hiking at its best; if you need a spot to stay Plumpjack Squaw Valley Inn is a great choice. Kidd Lake is located in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Devils Peak can be observed from Kidd Lake, and Long Lake is a wonderful lake close by. During       the warm months highs here at Kidd Lake reach the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 40's, and nighttime lows at Kidd Lake all through the winter typically plunge into the 20's. All the outdoors fun stuff in the Northern Sierra Nevada will keep you coming back over and over. Van Norden Campground is a glorious local campground, and great hiking is available along the Lola                  Montez Trail. Yeah, come up here to the Northern Sierra Nevada for a good time. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Boreal; there are some wonderful whitewater spots on Fordyce Creek. Kidd Lake in fact is in the middle of a scenic outdoors paradise. Really splendid skiing awaits you at Soda Springs, and dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express TRUCKEE. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Cold Springs Campground is a delightful spot to camp. Lakes? Sure, Cascade Lakes is around here.
