From a precipitation point of view Keswick Reservoir is a pretty normal place; the wettest month of the year is generally January, that's the one that rains the most while July is generally the driest month. If the weather is great here at Keswick Reservoir, you can go for a hike along the Dry Creek Trail; a tour to Whiskeytown National Recreation Area is worthwhile. This lake is so wonderful.  | 12 miles away Beehive campground is pretty good, little rocky and if the water is down that can be a problem. The do have several outhouses there and it is easy to get to. Gregory Creek is better but has been closed for many years due to the eagles nesting. Invest in wasp traps! Bears are not to bad in the 3 years we have camped there only saw one and it was running from the lake. ... |
