Man, is there a heap of exciting things to do right next door to Kellogg Lake. Good hiking is available along the Yellow Creek Trail, and Grassy Lakes is a perfect lake nearby. Get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Feather River - North Fork, and a delightful place to camp here at Kellogg Lake is Three Lakes Campground. A normal amount of precipitation falls here at Kellogg Lake; most of the snow falls all through       January while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. And if that's not enough there's plenty more exciting stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Lakes are such serene sites, why not stop at Three Lakes close to Kellogg Lake, and if you need a place to stay Bailey Creek Cottages is a splendid choice. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Caribou Camp Ground, and the Claremont Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake                  is so wonderful. A good close by hotel is Best Western Rose Quartz. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Kellogg Lake. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 40's. Highs through the winter are generally in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Kellogg Lake. Cold Spring Ravine is a good location to spend some time at; you have to go to Smith Point when you're here. Kellogg Lake is a beautiful lake in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Now, you may assume that's plenty but there's even more fun stuff to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada.
