All the water falling down from the sky makes Karls Lake a wet place; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow, and July on the other hand is the driest. Throughout the summer at Karls Lake temperatures are typically in the 60's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Throughout the wintertime highs are mostly in                  the 30's while the cold winter nights at Karls Lake are in the 10's. Karls Lake is located in the Central Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful. A glorious spot for whitewater paddling right next door to Karls Lake is Stanislaus River - Middle Fork, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Dodge Ridge.
