Going for a hike along the Echo Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and Trinity River - East Fork has a magnificent whitewater paddling spot nearby. Rock Fence Creek is a splendid local stream, and Cooper Meadow is a pleasant location. It is very dried up here at Kangaroo Lake generally; through December this area sees the most rain, and the driest month is July. All through the summertime       months, highs typically are in the 90's at Kangaroo Lake. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 40's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Kangaroo Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Sisson Calahan National Recreation Trail is great fun, and a lake nearby is Bull Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
