Just can't get enough of the Northern Sierra Nevada. Lakes are great; Snow Lake is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Kalmia Lake, and if you came to camp Bayview Campground is a great place to do that. This lake is so wonderful. The skiing at Sierra at Tahoe is great, and you can go for a hike on the       Hawley Grade Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Near Kalmia Lake you find the General Creek Trail which is a brilliant hiking trail, and from Kalmia Lake you acquire a good vista of Dicks Peak. A great close by hotel is Pine Cone Acre Motel, and going for a hike on the Pacific Crest Trail - section 14 is always a pleasant adventure. And if that's not enough there's a lot more amusing stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Pistantes Coyote Den is a glorious                  site to get some rest. There's so much to do here at Kalmia Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Eagle Falls Campground is a good place for that. That right there is loads already, but it keeps on going; Kalmia Lake has it all. Homewood is a glorious local ski area, and there's whitewater on Silver Creek - South Fork for all you thrill seekers. Now, you may feel that's heaps but there's even more cool stuff to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Kalmia Lake, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and overnight lows during the winter for Kalmia Lake tend to be in the 10's. This is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time. Time spent at Calawee Cove Beach close to Kalmia Lake is always delightful, and at Kalmia Lake you always meet someone from Gardnerville Ranchos. During your stay at Kalmia Lake do go to close by Baldwin Beach, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend American River - South Fork. You're possibly into lakes, Azure Lake is one of those close by; a great site close by is Dicks Pass.
