If you are traveling by, why not stop by Kalmia Lake. Not far from Kalmia Lake, you'll hit upon Tallac Lake which is a delightful lake; a tour to Baldwin Beach is always a perfect idea. This lake is so wonderful. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Homewood, and a tremendous spot for whitewater paddling is Silver Creek - South Fork. Kalmia Lake beyond doubt is in the middle of a striking outdoors paradise. There are other spots here than Kalmia Lake, for example

| | Gilmore Lake, and Dicks Pass is a splendid place to stop at.
From a rain point of view Kalmia Lake is a quite typical place; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow, and July on the other hand is the driest. Going for a hike on the General Creek Trail is always a magnificent adventure, and there are plenty of people from Gardnerville Ranchos here. The Northern Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful.

Nevada, has so much outdoors exciting stuff. Kalmia Lake is a tremendous location to visit for more than one day, Bayview Campground is a tremendous location to camp nearby; a perfect nearby hotel is Pine Cone Acre Motel. This lake
is so wonderful. Get your pulse rate up on the tremendous whitewater of American River - South Fork, and after a long day outdoors Harvest Inn-St Helena, Napa Valley is a tremendous location to spend a night or two. High temperatures
at Kalmia Lake during the summer months are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Kalmia Lake
sink into the 10's.
Sierra at Tahoe is a great local ski area, and you can go for a hike on the Pacific Crest Trail - section 14. So many amusing things to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada, not enough time. What a place this is
for outdoors folks. Eagle Falls Campground is a great campground nearby, and you should beyond doubt have a look at beautiful Calawee Cove Beach since you're here.
If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Northern
Sierra Nevada. Don't leave Kalmia Lake without first going for a hike along the Hawley Grade Trail, and if the weather is lovely, you get a glorious vista of Dicks Peak from Kalmia Lake.
