Don’t forget to visit Cold Springs Meadow since you're here at Junction Lake, and you could always discover Grizzly Pass. Junction Lake is a beautiful lake in the Central Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Beasore Meadows Campground; you can run the rapids of Merced River - South Fork. Summertime highs at Junction Lake generally tend to be in the       80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. All through the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 40's, and night lows through the winter for Junction Lake tend to be in the 20's. You feel that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. You absolutely have to like Junction Lake. Willow Creek is a splendid whitewater spot close to Junction Lake, and at Junction Lake you can observe Iron Mountain. Dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Oakhurst Yosemite,                  and if you came for an overnight stay Fresno Dome Campground is a tremendous spot to camp. An average amount of rainfall falls at Junction Lake; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. Have a great hiking adventure along the Mono Meadow Trail; Junction Lake is not the only site close by, Bare Island Lake is a close by lake. If you like the outdoors you'll like it here in the Central Sierra Nevada. While you're here at Junction Lake you can take a hike along the Buena Vista Trail, and of course, all our national parks are good places to stop at and Yosemite National Park is no exception. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite is a good location to spend a night or two, and Badger Pass is a very popular ski area in the vicinity.
