Go to Julia Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. Best Western Country Park Hotel is a fine place to get some rest, and you can hit the slopes at Shirley Meadow in close proximity. For the period of the days of summer at Julia Lake temperatures are typically in the 100's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 70's. This lake is so wonderful. Hobo Campground is a splendid campground here, and a great nearby hotel is Best Western Mountain Inn. This is no location for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. If you're going to Julia Lake from Bakersfield, you won't be the only one.
