Visiting Muir Woods National Monument is just something you need to do if you haven't yet, and do stop by Fern Lake, it's a wonderful lake. If you need a spot to stay The Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa is a perfect choice, and in case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Napa River. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Lake       Josephine; the nighttime is a bit colder of course, usually in the 50's. All through the wintertime highs are usually in the 50's; through the dark hours in the wintertime at Lake Josephine temperatures descend to the 30's. Why not camp at Sonoma Dog Camp since you're here at Lake Josephine, and dry warm beds await you at Gaige House-a Joie de Vivre Hotel. Sonoma National Golf Course is a golf course right next door to Lake Josephine; camping is available                  at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park. Lake Josephine is a wet place that gets much rain; January is the wettest month with most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. And if that's not sufficient, there's a heap more to do next to Lake Josephine. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Bald Mountain Trail, and naturally Asbury Creek flows through this area. This lake is so wonderful. Mark West Creek has a great whitewater paddling spot close by, and the friendly folks of Napa like to hang out nearby.
