What a place this is for outdoors people. Get covered with water paddling on Salmon River - South Fork. Lakes are perfect; Picayune Lake is a lake that's in close proximity to Jones Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby Boulder Gulch is a glorious place to go if you're at Jones Lake, and going for a hike on the Tanners Peak Trail is always a tremendous adventure. Stay the night at Red Bank       Campground, and there are glorious locations to look at along the Deacon Lee Trail. If you want a perfect time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Klamath Mountains. Baymont Inn Yreka is a great place to get some rest. The Klamath Mountains scenery is always beautiful. High temperatures at Jones Lake through the warm months are in the 90's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 50's while                  the cold winter nights at Jones Lake are in the 30's. Paddling on Salmon River - North Fork is so much fun. There's so much to do here at Jones Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Little North Fork Campground is a good place for that. Jones Lake is a wet place that gets much precipitation; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain; July on the other hand is the driest. Yep, outdoors amusing things truly is bountiful here in the Klamath Mountains. This is a good vicinity for people who like lakes.
