The winter brings highs down to the 40's with temperatures at Joiner Reservoir dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. Camping is available at Lassen Pines RV Resort, and Lava Beds National Monument is one of the destinations that are wonderful to have a look at nearby. At Joiner Reservoir you don’t       see much rainfall; the month of December is the wettest with most of the snow, and July is the month with the least moisture. This lake is one of the great places here in the Southern Cascade Range. Man, is there lots of amusing stuff to do near Joiner Reservoir. A beautiful lake like Little Egg Lake right next door to Joiner Reservoir is a great spot to explore, and a trip to Armentrout                  Flat revives the soul. A brilliant place to camp here at Joiner Reservoir is Lava Campground; get drenched paddling on Pit River. This lake is so wonderful.
