Hiking is a popular thing to do around Johnson Lake; Sawtooth Pass Trail is a fine local trail, and dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Lone Pine. The yearly precipitation here at Johnson Lake is about average; January is the wettest month with most rain, and July is when it's the driest. Man, is there heaps of fun things to do in the Southern Sierra Nevada. If you came for an overnight stay Willow Meadows Campground is a glorious       site to camp, and possibly you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Funston Lake is just a very short distance away. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff at Johnson Lake. Johnson Peak is a peak you can catch a glimpse of from Johnson Lake; there's great hiking along the Mount Whitney Trail. So many entertaining things to do here in the Southern Sierra Nevada, too great to be true. During the summertime at Johnson Lake highs are                  mostly in the 90's while night lows are regularly in the 60's. Through the winter highs are regularly in the 50's; nighttime lows at Johnson Lake through the winter ordinarily plunge into the 30's. Johnson Lake is a beautiful lake in the Southern Sierra Nevada. Places like Boreal Plateau are good to pop by, and naturally, this is a tremendous area for people who like lakes, Rocky Basin Lakes is a lake in the neighborhood.
