Going for a hike on the Sawtooth Pass Trail is always a good adventure, and the peak of Johnson Peak can be seen from Johnson Lake. Johnson Lake is a beautiful lake in the Southern Sierra Nevada. That right there is heaps of entertaining stuff already but it goes on, the Southern Sierra Nevada has it all. Johnson Lake is a good spot to camp, Tuttle Creek Campground is a good spot, and whitewater       paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Kern River. This is a magnificent vicinity for people who like lakes. Funston Lake is a lake in the vicinity, and if you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Lone Pine is a splendid choice. You just must go for Johnson Lake. Willow Meadows Campground is a fine campground here. This lake is so wonderful. Near Johnson Lake you find the Mount Whitney Trail which is a good hiking trail; while you're                  here at Johnson Lake it's a wonderful idea to have a look at Boreal Plateau. All through the long summer days at Johnson Lake highs are regularly in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 50's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Johnson Lake fall into the 30's.
